Lauren Bugner, CNM

Lauren Bugner is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Womens Health Nurse Practitioner. In 2018 Lauren graduated from the University of Florida with her Bachelor of Science in Health Education. After graduating Lauren spent two years working in Florida as a health educator in the Juvenal Detention Centers. During this time, she also attended the University of South Florida where she graduated in 2020 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Lauren then moved to the great state of Georgia where she began her nursing career. For the next four years Lauren worked as a registered nurse specializing in women’s health and obstetrics. It was in these years that Lauren learned that she wanted to be a Midwife. In 2023 Lauren graduated from Georgetown University with her Master of Science in Nursing. In May of 2024 Lauren officially joined the OB Hospitalist team at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Lauren is very passionate about the reproductive health of all people and hopes that throughout her career, she can continue to provide an inclusive and safe environment of care for people of all genders, races, ethnicities, and ages. In her multiple roles, she has had the privilege to meet and care for extraordinary people who have encouraged and reaffirmed her passion for birth work. Working with underserved populations in Atlanta, Lauren has gained valuable experience and knowledge which has inspired her to make a change, not only for her local community but across the country. When she is not working, you can find her curled up on her couch with her two cats reading the latest science fiction novel. Lauren, being the Florida native enjoys spending her time snorkeling or just lazily floating down the river (with PLENTY of sunscreen of course!).
