Hannah Maczka, CNM
Born and raised in Watkinsville, Georgia, Hannah went to the University of Georgia and later nursing school at the Medical College of Georgia. She continued to live in Athens while working as a forensic nurse until moving to Atlanta for graduate school. Hannah attended Emory University, where she studied to be a Certified Nurse Midwife and earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice, focusing on public health. Her research focused on capturing midwives as the delivering provider on birth certificates and understanding what factors play into data accuracy. Hannah has worked in various clinical settings and firmly believes in nurses’ and midwives’ obligation to practice in alignment with the tenants of reproductive justice. She lives in Clarkston, GA with her husband and enjoys cooking meals for friends and spending time in her garden.
